As a global leader in the design and manufacture of energy-efficient infrared heating solutions, Superior Radiant Products (SRP®) is proud to announce that all our gas-fired radiant products, including radiant tube heaters and luminous heaters, are fully compliant with the latest Energy Related Product (ErP) Directive updates and the Gas Appliance Regulation (GAR) EU/2016/426.
The ErP Directive, established by the European Union under Directive 2009/125/EC and updated through Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1188, sets forth stringent eco-design requirements aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing the energy efficiency of products. These measures are crucial as they support the EU’s broader goals of environmental sustainability and energy security.
As of January 1st, 2018, the implementation of these requirements has been mandatory for all local space heaters, including our gas-fired radiant products. Our heaters not only meet but exceed the required standards, ensuring:
- Seasonal efficiency of more than 74% for gas-fired radiant tube heaters and 85% for gas-fired luminous heaters. (Please refer to our product manual for the detail seasonal efficiency data.)
- NOx emissions below 200 mg/kWh for both types of heaters.
